Image resizer: crop to any size
Resize or crop an image to an exact size — an Instagram post, a YouTube thumbnail, a link preview or any width and height you type. Drag to choose what stays in the frame, then download as JPG, PNG or WebP. Everything happens in your browser, so your image is never uploaded.

Your image never leaves your device — resizing and cropping happen in your browser.
How it works
- Choose an image from your device, or drop it onto the box.
- Pick a size from the list or type your own width and height, then choose to crop or fit. Drag the preview to frame it.
- Choose JPG, PNG or WebP and download. The file is created on your device at the exact size.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is opened and processed by your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to our servers, so it’s fine to use with private files.
What is the difference between crop and fit?
Crop to fill covers the whole frame and trims whatever doesn’t fit — drag the image to choose which part stays. Fit keeps the entire image and fills the empty space with a background color you choose.
Will resizing reduce the quality?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. Making it larger than the original can’t add detail, so it may look soft — the tool warns you when that happens. Choose JPG or WebP for small files, and PNG when you need lossless quality.
Which size should I use for Instagram or YouTube?
The size list covers the common ones: 1080 × 1080 for a square Instagram post, 1080 × 1350 for a portrait post, 1080 × 1920 for Stories and Reels, and 1280 × 720 for a YouTube thumbnail. Platforms change their recommendations from time to time, so check their help pages before a big campaign.
